Far away from the hustle and bustle of the big city, our cosy ground-floor + wheelchair-accessible holiday flat is located right on the edge of the forest in Rod a. d. Weil in the picturesque Weiltal valley. Rod is the main village of Weilrod with a Rewe supermarket, bakery, restaurants, pharmacy, medical centre, etc.

Everything can be reached on foot in just a few minutes. Peace and relaxation can be found on the beautiful covered terrace, which is surrounded by flowers and shrubs and where you can have a cosy breakfast in the morning sun with fresh eggs from our own chickens or enjoy a wonderful barbecue in the evening.

Wonderful hiking and cycling tours directly from the front door. Nearby towns worth seeing are Frankfurt/Main, Wiesbaden, Limburg, Bad Homburg, Weilburg, Idstein, Braunfels, Kronberg. The idyllic Lahn Valley, which is popular for tranquil canoe tours, is also within easy reach. Even the beautiful Rheingau can be reached in 60 minutes. For climbers, the Eschbach cliffs or the climbing centre in Neu-Anspach are well worth a visit. Worthwhile destinations for children are the Lochmühle leisure park, the Hessenpark open-air museum, the Opelzoo, the Saalburg Roman fort, the Vogelburg castle in Weilrod-Hasselbach, the Weilburg wildlife park, the treetop walk in Bad Camberg and the mini-golf course in Weilrod-Neuweilnau.

Trekking tours with donkeys, ponies or goats and pony rides (Die Tierbrücke) or husky tours at Of Wolfheart are also great.
